Internal trade officials check the prices of medical services at Vibhavadi Hospital in Bangkok. However, private hospitals are now required to display the prices of only 10% of them, mainly those widely used in emergency cases. Mr Whichai said a private hospital must display the price lists of drugs either on its website or via QR codes within 45 days after the effective date. For prescriptions, private hospitals are required to first give them to all emergency patients and to all types of patients at a later stage. According to Mr Whichai, private hospitals must also inform the Internal Trade Department of the prices in advance before raising their prices.
